Jackrabbits

3 & 4 Years  •  Intermediate

Jackrabbits classes are designed to help transition children into non-competitive team play. Children learn basic soccer skills (dribbling, passing, trapping, scoring) and are introduced to more one-ball- oriented games and scrimmaging. Scrimmages focus on building teamwork and helping players understand how to apply skills in different situations. Some non-competitive soccer games are introduced.

Developmental Milestones at 3 & 4 Years

Social-Emotional
  • Enjoys playing with other children

  • Increased importance of peer relations

  • Loves to talk, be silly and tell jokes

  • Begins to understand danger, so may be fearful

Cognitive
  • Loves creative/dramatic play and learns best through using those means

  • Has an eagerness for adventure, is imaginative & curious

Physical
  • Mastering running, kicking, throwing, hopping and jumping

  • Hops on one foot
